France 1998 was Mexico's 11th appearance in the World Cup Finals.
Best World Cup Performance:
Mexico hosted the World Cup twice, and made it to the quarter-finals both times; in 1970 and 1986.
At US 94, they were almost at home,
but only made it to the last 16.

(2-2) in Bordeaux.
25th June: vs. Holland
(2-2) in St. Etienne.
Hernandez and company left it late to qualify from this group and can
thank South Korea for sending a life boat to the Bay of Mexico.
When the Koreans equalized in the 71st minute against Belgium, it was
like a psychological goal for Mexico who then clawed back a two goal deficit to draw with
Holland. For almost an hour they were not in the tournament, let alone the game.

The game plan changed in the Second Round, and they actually took the
lead. The aging Germans didn't retire and that was the end of the Blanco hop.
