Group C

12th June: vs. Saudi Arabia (1:0) in Lens.

18th June: vs. South Africa (1:1) in Toulouse.

24th June: vs. France (1:2) in Lyon.

Knockout Stage

2nd Round
28th June: vs. Nigeria (4:1) in St. Denis.

Denmark were mediocre in achieving second place in the group, but proved too much for Nigeria in the second round.

1/4 Finals
3rd July: vs. Brazil (2-3) in Nantes.

The quarter-finals set the Danes up with a very threatening Brazil side.

As the saying goes, no games are easy at this stage. And boy did the Danes take it to the World Champions; going a goal up in the second minute of their encounter. At 2:3 down, Marc Rieper headed against the cross-bar in the final minutes.

This game was ten times better than the Italy vs France match, earlier the same day.
