Angola still have a chance to qualify if they win against Iran and Mexico lose to
Portugal.
After a quiet start, Angola must have heard that Mexico were trailing
Portugal as the Angolans upped the tempo a little and made their first real assault on the
Iranian goal; forcing Ebrahim Mirzapour into two fine save in three minutes.
Angola continued to press forward with Fabrice Akwa twice putting the
ball over the bar.

With Fabrice Akwa off injured, substitute Amado Flavio stole in at the
far post, to slip home a cross from the right.
Angola's slight chance of qualifying for the second round didn't last
longer than 15 minutes as Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh equalised for Iran; with a header from a
corner.
