Poland Team Hotel

Gilde Sporthotel Fuchsbachtal:
Bergstrasse 54, Barsinghausen.
Like Paraguay, Poland are not interested in a luxury stay at an historic Castle during the
World Cup Finals, rather they've chosen the Sportschule Barsinghausen Gilde, near
Hannover, as their base.
Hotels
in Hannover:
Hannover would be a good base for Polish fans, during the group phase at least. Poland
play their last game in Hannover, while both Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen are only a couple
of hours away by train, or easily reached by motorway. Fans can also reach Barsinghausen
by S-Bahn in half an hour and the # 501 bus goes from the station to the Sporthotel.

If you'd rather stay in Barsinghausen, check out the Echo Hotel; a
modern, friendly hotel with bright and comfortable rooms.

Group A
Poland vs Ecuador in Gelsenkirchen:
Poland were short on ideas and lacked the movement needed to bring the power of Teamgeist
into the spirit of play.
Germany vs Poland in Dortmund:
Poland, with ten men for the last fifteen minutes, did just about everything they could to
keep Germany out; until the last minute of goalmouth drama.
Costa Rica vs Poland in Hannover:
Poland's 2006 World Cup Finals ended on a slight high, as they managed a three points
consolotion prize.
Knockout Stage
Poland failed to qualify for the Second Round.
