Australia's Best World Cup Performance
Australia didn't make it out of the group stage in West Germany 1974 and have yet to score a goal in
the World Cup Finals. They did manage a (0:0) draw with Chile though.
Australia will use PSV Eindhoven's
facilities as a training and logistics base, prior to the 2006 World Cup Finals.

Group F
Australia vs Japan in Kaiserslautern:
After going behind to a dubious goal in the first-half, Guus Hiddink pokered everything on
attacking substitutions in the second.
Brazil vs Australia in München:
Australia kept it tight in the first-half but Brazil's quality and Australia's poor
finishing means that if the Socceroos lose to Croatia, they're out.
Croatia vs Australia in Stuttgart:
Australia twice came back from behind to get the draw they needed to qualify for the
knockout stage, as Graham Poll went mad with the cards.
