Latinos Through
Mexico vs Uruguay
in Rustenburg.
A draw between Mexico and Uruguay would be enough for both Latin
Americans to advance.
Without so much as a booking in the first-half of this match, neutrals
might have been concerned that there wasn't really a game being played in Rustenburg.
Those fears were set aside when Luis Suarez headed Uruguay in front,
just before half-time.
Half-time: 0:1
Mexico made a change at the start of the second-half; Pablo Barrera
coming on for Andres Guardado, who actually hit the underside of the crossbar in the
first-half.
Mexico made a couple more substitutions to try and earn the point that
would them of qualification.
In the end, South Africa couldn't score enough against France and
Mexico edged out the hosts on goal difference.
