Saturday, 15th June

Group B

 Travel to Spain Spain 3-0 Croatia Travel to Croatia

With nearly thirty minutes without a goal, Alvaro Morata silenced the doubters with the first for Spain.

A few minutes later, Fabián Ruiz doubled Spain's lead; just when Croatia thought they might have a chance do something in Berlin.

Just before half-time, Croatia's lead-legged defenders left the ball for their goalkeeper, only to see a lively Dani Carvajal slip through low and stun them; for Spain's third goal in less than twenty minutes.

Bruno Petković had the chance to pull one back for Croatia, ten minutes from time, but his penalty was saved.

Friday, 21st June

Group D

Travel to Poland Poland 1-3 Austria Travel to Austria

Gernot Trauner nodded Austria ahead in the ninth minute.

Poland pulled one back in Berlin, through former Hertha Berlin player Krzysztof Piątek, on the half-hour.

Then in the second half, Christoph Baumgartner gave Austria the lead in the 66th minute and Marko Arnautović rounded the Austrian waltz off with a 78th minute penalty.

Tuesday, 25th June

Group D

Travel to Holland Netherlands 2-3 Austria Travel to Austria

Austria took the lead in the sixth minute, when a desperate Donyell Malen slid a low cross from Alexander Prass into his own net.

Netherlands pulled level early in the second half; Liverpools's Cody Gakpo the scorer.

Austria restored their lead when Romano Schmid burried his header into the bottom corner three minutes before the hour. Cue substitutions.

Memphis Depay brought Netherlands level fifteen minutes from time, only for Marcel Sabitzer to give Austria the advantage again; five minutes later.

A deserved victory for Austria, who finish top of the group.

Saturday, 29th June

Travel to Switzerland Switzerland 2-0 Italy Travel to Italy

A nice roar from the Swiss fans to get things going in Berlin and Remo Freuler repaid them in the 37th minute, to put Italy behind for the fourth time in this tournament.

Within thirty seconds of the second half, Switzerland doubled their lead. Ruben Vargas made sure he beat the Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, by curling the ball into the top corner.

To Düsseldorf for the quarter-final.

Saturday, 6th July

Travel to Holland Netherlands 2-1 Türkiye Travel to Turkey

Turkey took the lead in the 35th minute when Samet Akaydin rose to head home at the far post.

Dutch fans had to wait until deep into the second half for a comeback; thanks to a Stefan de Vrij header in the 70th minute.

Netherlands were given the lead six minutes later when Mert Müldür bundled a shot from Cody Gakpo into his own net.

The only quarter-final not to require extra-time.

To Dortmund for the semi-final.

Sunday, 14th July

Travel to Spain Spain  2-1 England Travel to England

The teams went in even at half-time, but Spain were soon in front after the break; Yamal threading a ball through for Nico Williams to score from the left in the 47th minute.

Ollie Watkins came on for Harry Kane on the hour and Cole Palmer for Kobbie Mainoo, ten minutes later. Within a few minutes, Cole Palmer showed great composure and levelled the score.

Then a substitution worked for Spain, as Mikel Oyarzabal met Marc Cucurella's low cross into the box and fired past Pickford.

Ivan Toney was brought on for Phil Foden, as a last throw of the dice.

In the last minute, Olmo headed Guéhi's header off the line to crown Spain as European Champions.

Another European final loss for England, and still no club or country trophy for Harry Kane.
