Against the run of play, France edged in front when Maximilian Wöber headed into his own net; after a quick turn of pace from Kylian Mbappé on the right culminated with a lofted ball back towards Antoine Griezemann.
Friday, 21st June
Slovakia 1-2
Ukraine
Slovakia continued where they left off against Belgium, with Ivan Schranz making it two goals in two games.
Ukraine leveled early in the second-half, through Mykola Shaparenko.
Roman Yaremchuk edged Ukraine in front, ten minutes from time to keep them in the tournament.

Spain
From a Dani Olmo pass, Ferran Torres put Spain's reserves in the lead with a low curling ball in off the post; to dampen Albania's fire, with just thirteen minutes on the clock in Düsseldorf.

The snore draw was finally broken when French substitute, Randal Kolo Muani, saw his shot deflect into the Belgium net by Jan Vertonghen; five minutes before we were subjected to another half-an-hour of scoreless boredom and the painful process of penalties.
Second own goal for France, and ninth of the tournament so far.
To Hamburg for the quarter-final.

Not the liveliest of encounters. The only English player doing it like he does for his club seemed to be punt it upfield Pickford.
Switzerland started the second-half better and were the first to make substitutions.
It took seventy-five minutes, but it was coming. The constant Swiss pressure and fresh sustitutions paid off as Breel Embolo toe poked a low, deflected cross from the right, past Jordon Pickford.
Something had to change. Gareth Southgate made three and England replied within five minutes; Bukayo Saka cutting in from the right and firing goalwards from the edge of the area.
The third quarter-final to go to extra time at Euro 2024; and the second to penalties.
To Dortmund for the semi-final.
