Switzerland vs Portugal in Basle.
Sunday, 15th June at 20.45
Portugal have already qualified for the
quarter-finals, as winners of Group A, while Switzerland will be
taking no further part in the competition after today.
Pascal Zuberbühler gets the nod for Köbi Kuhn's last match in charge
of Switzerland.
With nothing at stake it wasn't surprising that goals were not a major
feature in Basle.
The Austrian referee had plenty of fun with his whistle though;
blowing up for some 26 fouls.
Pascal Zuberbühler denied Pepe his second goal of the tournament and
Ricardo tipped over from Johan Vonlanthen.
Half-time - 0:0
Hakan Yakin scored his second tournament goal for Switzerland and
doubled the lead thirteen minutes later.
