Watford Football Club
Established: 1881.
Nickname: The Hornets.
Watford Football Club was founded in 1881 as Watford Rovers and
joined the Football League in 1920.
Watford have played at Vicarage Road since 1922, althought the
original groundsman is no longer there.
Graham Taylor may have been called a turnip but he planted the seeds
for much of Watford's success; including playing in the UEFA Cup and FA Cup Final.

From the M25, turn onto the A412 and head towards Rickmansworth. There
is no parking arround Vicarage Road although Watford town centre has several car parks.
The nearest train station is Watford High Street, a ten minute walk
from the ground.
Watford Junction train station is about 20 minutes by foot.

Watford's greatest achievement was getting Elton John in as
chairman.
For all their huffing and puffing, Watford never really blew the house
down.
They finished runners-up in the First Division in 1983 and made it to
the 1984 FA Cup final.
