Stoke Ramblers changed its name to Stoke City, in 1925, after
Stoke-on-Trent was granted city status.

The nearest railway station is Stoke-on-Trent; on the London to
Manchester mainline. Stoke also has major lines to Birmingham, Crewe and Derby.
By car, the Britannia Stadium is signposted from the A50. Leave the M6
at junction 15 and take the A500 to Stoke-on-Trent.
