Kings County balances
pride in its history with an optimistic vision for its future.
The Kings River was the ideal place for cattlemen and gold miners to
set up stall, with oilmen and storekeepers soon to follow.
The arrival of the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1877 then opened the
region to the world.
In 1893, voters approved a new county when a portion of Tulare county
was divided to form Kings County.
The county seat of Kings County is Hanford.

of Kings County while sustaining and developing family entertainment.
Corcoran

is located in the heartland of California's fertile San Joaquin Valley.
Hanford
Incorporated on August 8th, 1891 Hanford is situated in the San
Joaquin Valley midway between San Francisco, to the north, and Los Angeles, to the south.
