Franche-Comté to
form the new
administrative region of
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

The region
of Bourgogne (Burgundy) has four departments: Cote-d'Or (21), Nievre (58), Saone-et-Loire (71) and Yonne (89).
The regional prefecture of Bourgogne
is Dijon.
Neighbouring regions are Auvergne, Centre, Champagne-Ardennes,
Franche-Comte, Ile-de-France
and Rhone-Alpes.
