  We are typically not ones who hire a company for private tours — usually preferring the adventure of DIY travel.   On a scale of 1-10 [our driver] Kamal was a 15 (fifteen!) You know that we started the trip with a self-inflicted Day 1 wound, believing we lost Ayse’s wallet – which was for over a 24 hour period.   Our trip was fantastic.  The itinerary, accommodations, individual guides and, importantly, Zak, were great.  We also benefited from having decent weather for the trip which likely wouldn?t have been the case had we taken the route in reverse.  We were able to escape most of the problems caused by the severe flooding in northern Morocco.  We had a number of highlights but for me, experiencing the Sahara was probably the top of my list.
