- Bus to the Other Side
If you're in Cozumel over Easter or live on the island and want an economical way to get to the beaches on the island's beautiful east coast, why not try the local Beach Route colectivo bus service? The 14 seater bus takes you from Avenida Juarez, next to the gas station, across the Transversal highway to many of the beaches on the other side. The price each way is only 15 pesos (a little over $1) for adults (over 10 years) and 10 pesos for children. It's a shared local service which makes stops along the way, but should get you to your destination in around 30-40 minutes and is a lot cheaper than a taxi. The stop is on Avenida Juarez between the Coppel store and the gas station. Look for the "Ruta de Playas" sign hanging on a tree. During the Easter vacation the service will run roughly every hour on the hour and it also runs most weekends too. You can expect the first service to be at 8am and the last coming back around 7pm. For more information call Herberto on 987-101-5000 (Cozumel cell). He speaks some English but please be patient and have someone that speaks Spanish help you if possible. Of course, if you want a more private, VIP service you can also check out our popular Cozumel Tour to the Other Side. And you can also find more photos of the island's east coast in our Other Side Facebook album.

- Do You Have The Right Time?
If you're visiting Cozumel between March 11 and April 1, 2012, watch out for an extra hour time difference between Mexico and the United States and Canada. This happens because the United States and Canada change to Daylight Savings Time before Mexico and is especially important for cruise passengers, as some ships stay on the time of their United States homeport, even when they arrive to Cozumel. Visit our website for more information.
